My name is Dan and I am a new type of junk gold buyer, I come to you. For your security and peace of mind I will meet with you at a place of your choice. It can be your home or a fast food type of place. I conduct business mostly in North Orange County and I will meet you within this area. I will bring my digital gram scale, electronic gold testing machine and a good magnifying glass. I will sit with you, check each piece for gold hallmarks and electronically test to determine it's karat value. Then, I will pay you much more than a mail service, Cash for Gold, type of company would pay you. These companies have repeatedly been exposed for being huge scams, offering less than 20% to their customers in gold value! I have been buying and selling precious metals since December 2006 and last year decided to sell my collectibles business and concentrate on precious metals recycling. I have been doing business in my town since 1994. I work a full time job so my appointment availability is limited to mostly evenings and weekends. Please email me with a description of what you have and when you would like to meet. If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them. Remember, I pay good prices for your items, I buy in the comfort and security of your own home (or public location of your choice) by appointment only and I pay in CASH and on the spot.
SHIPPING & PAYMENTWhen sending just a few items it is best to send them flat attached to a piece of cardboard. Do not put tape directly on the jewelry as it will leave a gummy residue that is hard to remove. Bubble wrap envelopes are the best way to ship larger quantities because they are stronger. Please do not put loose items in any envelope as rips and tears do happen and we would both hate for me to receive an empty envelope. Small ziplock or sandwich bags are the best protection. Put a few pieces in one and tape it to a piece of cardboard, repeat until all items are secured. If you send bulky pieces any box that the post office will accept is fine. The $4.95 Priority Mail box is great You may insure and register your package, if your shipment is around a half ounce of gold jewelry or more I recommend insuring the package but it is up to you. If the postal agent asks for content never say jewelry or gold, that is an invitation for the package to get lost. When I send and insure I call the contents "collectibles". It is true and it disguises the exact content name. If you do not put enough postage on the package it may come POSTAGE DUE. I will pay the extra postage but it will be deducted from the total amount paid. I will return your package front as proof that the post office charged me the extra postage. If you decide to mail your gold items I will send my name and mailing address by email. I am in Orange County, California Be sure to put your return address on the envelope or package and a note on the inside showing an inventory and description and where I should send your check. On smaller shipments I will mail your check within three business days. If you have a PayPal account I can send it directly to your account. If we meet in person, at an agreed upon location, (usually a fast food place) I will pay in cash.
Why I Think I pay The Best For GoldI have been buying gold and silver since December of 2006. Lately there have been a lot of newcomers in this precious metals buying business and some are giving all a bad reputation. Everyone knows to never take your gold to a pawn shop. But, have you been bombarded with commercials on TV, radio and the newspaper about how these new companies pay the very most? I know I have. I work on a tight budget and can not see how they can take out full page ads in the paper or pay for a 60 second commercial on television and still pay high prices for your gold. So I decided to go undercover and see what was really offered. I collected info on three local companies that advertise around town that they buy gold. I am sure you have seen them. Here you will see a picture of a pin I purchased. I paid $43.00 for this pin, it is 18KT gold. I went to three stores, with this pin, and this is my finding. All are within a few miles of my home and gold did not fluctuate much during that time. I felt the first store was very honest and did not try to deceive me but they just do not pay as much as I do, no comment on the other two.
